Spring Has Sprung in Real Estate

As I walk outside today, I find it hard to believe that next week is April. It's too cold, too snowy and still feels like winter. As Mainers we know that can change at any moment and I'm hopeful we will feel spring on a regular basis in a couple weeks.

For those of us in the real estate market, spring is already here! It came early this year. There was a significant uptick in listings and activity over the last month. It really is exciting to witness and fun to be apart of.

Having said that, we still don't feel we are at the height of our spring market. Although homes are coming on quicker lately, all indicators point to a very busy and crowded marketplace this spring! Are you thinking of selling? We should talk sooner than later. To put it in perspective, in February the Maine real estate market experienced a 12.9% decrease in home sales, BUT The Maine Real Estate Network, our company, had a 27% INCREASE in homes sales for that same timeframe.

Let me say that again, while all other real estate companies were experiencing a decline in home sales, our company was continuing to crush it with a 27% increase in home sales. This trend is sure to continue as the weather warms up.

Now is the time to reach out if you are thinking of selling your home. Now is the time to come up with a plan. Now is the time to call The Scoville Foley Team.
